Real Wedding; Chloe and Matthew @ Worrowing
About You Two;
Now, How did you two meet?
Through my sister when we were in school.
Who popped the Question and how did it happen?
Matt asked while we were on holiday in Tasmania. It was a surprise holiday where he had planned everything for the week – which made the memory that much more special!
Why did you choose your venue and how was the venue choosing process?
We initially chose the style of wedding we wanted (garden) and then narrowed down the area (South Coast). We looked at a few venues, but fell in love as soon as we found Worrowing! We were especially sold when we found out there was plenty of accommodation on site for our families.
Quick Fire Questions;
How many wedding guests did you have?
120
Sit down of Cocktail Style?
Sit down
What month?
February
Planning The Wedding;
Was planning the wedding stressful or did you enjoy the journey?
Mostly enjoyed the journey. We had plenty of time and lots of support, so were very lucky not to be stressed at all.
How involved were you both in the wedding planning, did one of you take more of the lead on certain aspects than others or were you both equally involved?
I definitely took the lead on most things! Although Matt was great in organising music and drinks – the two things he likes more than me!
What was the top couple of non-negotiables or important must-have’s at the wedding for you both?
Our dogs had to be there and a lot of food for our guests.
Tell us about your dress and that dress-finding process?
The dress was Harper from Madi Lane. It was a beautiful lace dress with a V neck and back, and mocha undertone. The dress-finding process was lots of fun, although I ended up buying the first dress I tried on. I did go to a few different stores and tried on plenty of styles to make sure it was the one – and it was!
What sort of theme, vibe or style did you go for?
We tried to go for a relaxed, garden wedding with the classic wedding style of neutrals and blush colours.
On the Day;
How did you both feel wedding morning?
We were both really excited. I was expecting nerves – but they never came.
What was the best part or moment of your day?
The vows were my favourite moment for sure.
Anything you would change about your wedding or anything that didn’t go to plan?
One thing I would be more organised with is thinking about who we wanted photos with before the actual day. The day went by so quickly and it felt like it was a little chaotic rushing around to speak to our guests and get to everything on our itinerary, so we didn’t get a chance to think properly about it on the day.
Are there any rituals, sentiments or traditions you incorporated into the day?
My mum has passed away, so I tied a locket with her picture to my bouquet as a way to have her there on the day.
After the Wedding;
Describe newlywed life in a couple of words?
New chapter
Best investment or money well spent on the wedding that you made?
This is really hard – there are so many things we’re glad we spent the money on! Mainly; the photographer/videographer, flowers, venue and of course our wedding coordinator!
Budget-over, under or what you estimated?
Over…but it was all worth it!
