Real Wedding; Claire and Jeremy @ Jamberoo
About You Two;
Now, How did you two meet?
We met at Residential College in Adelaide when we both started University (2016).
Who popped the question and how did it happen?
Jeremy proposed at Between the Vines vineyard, he had designed the ring and had it but was waiting for the perfect opportunity. On that day we spontaneously decided to go to a winery for a drink and lunch and when we arrived we had the whole cellar door to ourselves.
Why did you choose your venue and how was the venue choosing process?
We chose to get married at my parents house, it was so beautiful there really was no other options.
Quick Fire Questions;
How many wedding guests did you have?
We had around 90.
Sit down of Cocktail Style?
Sit Down
What month?
October
Planning The Wedding;
Was planning the wedding stressful or did you enjoy the journey?
It was both stressful and enjoyable, definitely the aesthetic components were much more enjoyable than the logistics. I had a really clear picture of what I wanted it to look like and the WEC were able to make that come to life.
How involved were you both in the wedding planning, did one of you take more of the lead on certain aspects than others or were you both equally involved?
I (Claire) did 99.9% of the wedding planning from our end.
What was the top couple of non-negotiables or important must-have’s at the wedding for you both?
We both knew we needed to have ice cream for dessert so the gelato bike was a non-negotiable.
Tell us about your dress and that dress-finding process?
My dress was custom made at Moira Hughes Couture in Sydney. I had one day of dress finding and it was the second dress I tried on. We altered some of the details of the dress to make it more me but once I tried it on there was no other options.
What sort of theme, vibe or style did you go for?
We went for a whimsical garden theme.
On the Day;
How did you both feel wedding morning?
We were both a little nervous but mostly excited for the day.
What was the best part or moment of your day?
Everything!
Anything you would change about your wedding or anything that didn’t go to plan?
It was quite windy so my veil went flying at the top of the aisle but this really just added to the day and made for a memorable moment.
Are there any rituals, sentiments or traditions you incorporated into the day?
We had photographs of our lost loved ones sitting in the first row.
After the Wedding;
Describe newlywed life in a couple of words?
Busy (we brought home our golden retriever puppy Bowie 2 weeks after returning home from the honeymoon).
Best investment or money well spent on the wedding that you made?
I don’t regret anything, I think every component was well thought out and beautiful.
Budget-over, under or what you estimated?
We didn’t have a clear budget but I think everything on the day really reflected the pricing of it, nothing was overpriced and we didn’t cut out anything.
